It is obvious how Rubik’s Cube should appear when it has been solved. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if there was an equivalently clear solution to living on Earth in harmony with each other and with nature? Something we could all agree on and aim for?
Of course Rubik’s Cube is deceptive. Beneath it’s apparently benign innocence lurks the smug devil incarnate. How can you solve one part of the puzzle without messing up the bit you’ve already done? Is it clear that solving a particular part of the puzzle first is on the correct path to solving the overall global puzzle?
The premise of this blog is that Earth is a single system and that all the interconnected problems must be solved simultaneously. But how does one tackle a problem of such magnitude? That’s what this blog is all about. The intention is that each post will have a different thought, idea, observation or insight relating something small and innocuous to the big picture and that, hopefully, a clear picture will emerge. Especially if people comment and contribute which I warmly invite! I aim to stimulate not preach! I don’t know the answer any more than anyone else, but maybe together we can make progress and contribute some innovative thoughts to the collective.
How do the little things on our planet affect the big things? Is there one, none or many clear solutions to the problem of 10 Billion people ALL living in sustainable luxury within a solitary planetary system? Will our kids want to live that way? Our neighbours kids? Is there a robust and clear path for how we can implement such a solution? What is the cost? Is it worth it?
